PA HUNTING LICENSES

ARCHERY

The first Pennsylvania archery license was issued in 1937. These were valid only for two archery preserves. In 1951, a special statewide season was created in addition to the preserves. I have only seen one archery license from 1937-1950. In fact, the early archery licenses from the 1950s are scarce with the 1951 being rare. Like the muzzleloading license, in 1976, the archery license also went to a stamp form. In 1986, the stamp was replaced with a thin strip applied on the hunting license. This same format is still used today.

  • 1937-1950 archery license $500+
  • 1951 archery license $300
  • 1952-1959 archery license $40 - $150
  • 1960s archery license $25
  • 1971-1975 archery license $15
  • 1976 and up archery license $3
