PA HUNTING LICENSES

SENIOR

In 1972, senior hunters were afforded the same benefit junior hunters received in 1963 to a reduced license price. Although it saved senior citizens $1.50 off a regular hunting license, it still was $1.00 more than the juniors paid. In 1985, a senior lifetime license was enacted. A senior citizen only had to pay one price ($50.50) and would be able to hunt the rest of their life. It is interesting to note how collectors’ wants affect pricing. While only 46,000 first year senior hunting licenses were issued, nearly 112,000 first year junior hunting licenses were sold. However, the 1963 junior is valued at $75, while the 1972 senior is priced at $5.

Senior hunting licenses have nominal value $2-$5
